Local Financial Services

  • Medi-Cal: Medi-Cal is California’s Medicaid program, providing financial assistance to people with low income who qualify for the program. Although Medicare does not cover hearing aids, Medi-Cal will cover part of the cost, with some exceptions. medi-cal.ca.gov
     
  • California Children’s Services (CSS): CSS is a state program for children with certain diseases or health problems including hearing loss. CCS provides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, and physical and occupational therapy services to children under age 21 with CCS-eligible medical conditions. dhcs.ca.gov/services/ccs.   • Community Living Fund: Community Living Fund helps any San Francisco adult with a functional impairment or medical condition and whose income is up to 300% of the federal poverty level. Assigned case managers evaluate all the possible funding sources and services available so that seniors and adults with disabilities can live safely at home.   • Human Services Agency of San Francisco: The Department of Aging & Adult Services has a page dedicated to seniors and adults with disabilities. This page lists services available for adults so that they can live safely at home. These services include financial services for disabled adults/seniors unable to take care of financial needs, in-home supportive services/assisted living services and meal delivery. sfdaas.org
