CART is a service in which a certified CART provider (a captioner) translates what is being said aloud into written text, in real time. CART can be very helpful in group meeting settings, particularly when there are deaf and hard-of-hearing people present. Find out more information about the training, certification, and job description of CART providers through the National Court Reporters Association: ncra.org
